First Day at a New School . . .

Vacation Fun . . .

This year for vacation, we packed up and headed to see my sister and her family in Dallas! Dillon had the week off work which was so nice because we usually have split time at home! He is at work while I am home and vice versa. 

Aiden loved getting to play play with his cousins Campbell and Cannon!

We are getting ready to go to the water park! Aiden wouldn't smile, he just kept making binoculars with his hands.

We went to eat at Firehouse Subs last week and you get this little fire hat with a kids meal. Needless to say, Aiden wore it the rest of the night!

I have to admit, Aiden is pretty artistic!

He loves to color and paint.

He REALLY loves to have me or Dillon sit next to him while we paint things, then he paints right where my brush is! He just slides his paint brush right on top of mine!

He says, "Momma, what's that?"

I say, "It's a dinosaur!"

He says, "Yeah....(insert sliding paintbrush here) a dinosaur!"

Then he hijacks whatever I am painting at the moment!

He is concentrating very hard!

He has such a big attention span (if it is something he likes!)

"Momma, sit dooowwwnnn!"

It has been so hot outside, we have really been inside most of the time.

When we are outside we don't take the old camera for fear of it seriously melting to my hands.

So here are a few more from the Fourth!

Summer Fun . . .

We have had so... much.... FUN this summer!!

This is the first year that I actually feel like we even get a summer because of always being in borderline panic mode trying to keep Aiden from overheating and triggering another seizure. It has been a year on June 6th since his last one and we have just felt so blessed that hopefully he has outgrown that stage!

We have taken full advantage of the warm weather and spend at good amount of time outside everyday that we can! We are either playing in the yard or watering the flowers.

Our other fun thing is to go to the pool! Aiden really loves to swim! He took a swim class at Miller Swim School over the spring and we will definitely be going back in the fall, but for now we do our own thing!

I have set up the pool umbrella over the first couple of stairs. That is where Aiden is most of the time and it just helps keep him from getting crispy!

It is so funny how much Aiden can look so much like me in some pictures and just like his daddy in others. I think I am winning this one! :)

He really loves to throw the ball in the pool for my parents Lab, Lexy to jump in and fetch!

She is relentless and will retrieve for hours if we would let her! Aiden is dodging her splashes! She bursts out of the water and brings lots of water with her when she gets out of the pool!

Happy Father's Day to the wonderful father's of the world!

Especially my dad, who I get the privilege of working with every day,

a grand total of 12 times,

just because his son wants him to.
