Gearing Up...

So begins the time of year when we can't keep Aiden indoors, and can't keep Penny OUTDOORS.

D has been feeling the golf bug since the temp started rising, and Aiden is always in the middle of whatever D does. They were practicing their short game on the front fairway lawn.

Aiden made more divots than anything.

Riding his Harley/Tricycle instead of a golf cart.

I absolutely LOVE the way my pansies look this time of year! It's a shame that they don't like the heat because the lazy girl in me would really love to leave these beauties out instead of pulling them and replanting.

But they shrivel up around July, and I would be thinking how horrible my front yard looks without some color and flowers.

Their days are numbered.

But they sure are beautiful!!

I am partial to the orange ones for obvious reasons : )

Aiden testing out the newly cleaned out garage!

I think it looks like he has on red shoes, but its the pedal.

I really hope that Aiden shares my love for flowers and gardening.

We already know how much he loves the outdoors and if we can just get him to let go of the water hose long enough to show him a thing or two, I know he would be a great helper!

Speaking of water hose.

Penny has found the one muddy spot in the yard and managed to cover the entire front side of her body with yucky mud!

Then she likes to put her muddy dog feet all over my back door.

She doesn't grasp the concept that if you are 1/3 mud, you are NOT allowed inside.

Dillon had to carry her in so we could clean her up and it was so sick!
She looked like she was swimming in lake water.

Even better, D put her in MY  bathtub instead of the guest bathroom!

It took 3 cleanings and a short prayer to feel like I could step foot in it again!

National Geographic . . .

Aiden really loves his Aunt Sissy!

She came over to play last week and they took a fun picture.

Since we received our wonderful camera from D's parents for Christmas, we have not used our old camera. Aiden found it the other day and after a few lessons on how to take pictures, we can't get Aiden to stop.

I will be in the shower and see a flash,

then I hear Aiden say "Got it"

and I cringe, hoping that it was not of me IN the shower!

Sometimes it is.

And those are deleted with the speed of a mongoose.

The rest of the time the pictures are just of random everyday things that he can reach and that will stay still long enough for him to photograph!

Some of these were so funny I had to share!

Aiden's foot . . . which looks astonishingly similar to Dillon's foot . . .

Spider man toothbrush.

What an interesting look into the perspective of my 2 year old!

Maybe he is a photographer in the making.

Look out National Geographic!

It also highlighted some areas of our house that need a little cleaning ! : )

But I will not be showing those photos.
